Endangered Awareness is a blog all about endangered species and what you can do to help them. Animals and plants, just like us, are part of God’s creation, so we should look after them the same as we do for each other. This blog was made as an assignment for my Social Media class at Cornerstone University, but I decided to choose this topic because I’m deeply passionate about this.
This blog is meant to inform and encourage everyone, regardless of age, to be more compassionate and proactive about protecting all the animals and plants out there. It is so much fun to learn more the environment and the creatures that inhabit it. I’ll be doing a wide range of posts from tips and news updates to opinion articles and amazing stories. I think writing and sharing all of these things can really help out with the cause.
A Little About Me:
Ever since I was a kid, I have always had a love for the outdoors. The trees towering above you, the gentle breeze, the moss feeling soft on your bare feet… all of it is beautiful and amazing to me. Animals have a large place in my heart with all the things they can do and they are just like us in so many ways. Dogs, for example, are one of my favorites.
My first dog was Hunter, the best golden retriever in the world. He always was there for me through the good and bad times, seeing right through me when no one else did. I didn’t have to say or do anything and he would be sitting or laying right next to me whenever I needed someone. I believe he is in Heaven right now, waiting for us to come home. Rest in peace, buddy.
We currently have two dogs, Jasmine and Ryan. Jasmine is a chocolate Labrador Retriever and Ryan is a Australian Shepard. We also have some goldfish in an handmade, outdoor pond and freshwater tropical fish in a large, indoor tank. My family also loves animals too.
I haven’t exactly introduced myself yet, my name is Amanda Greene and I’m attending college to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media with a minor in Creative Writing and to grow closer to God. I hope you enjoy my blog!
